Michael is the deuteragonist and a survivor of the outbreak of the 2004's remake Dawn of the Dead. Before the outbreak he was married but he broke up with his wife. He also had a child but he doesn't reveal much about it. In the beginning of the outbreak he grouped up with Luda and Andre (as well as 5 other unknown survivors) and planned to go to the Crossroads Shopping Mall. He was one of the important members of the group and formed a romantic relationship with fellow survivor Ana, that lasted until his death.
Character and Personality[]
Michael is a smart and determined person that will do everything to reach his goal. He quickly understands the "new world" and is willing to fight for his survival. He also tried to convince C.J to help them survive the outbreak but failed. When a truck with other survivors came to the mall Michael was willing to let them in, showing that he is a caring person that wants the best for everyone. When the group had dinner together, he revealed some things about his past that leaves the audience knowing that he really cared about his child and was a good father. When it comes to difficult decisions Michael is willing to help and bring himself in danger for the greater good.

After the group was forced to flee from the Crossroads Shopping Mall because of Nicole's risky action he was one of the last survivors. After Ana got the boat keys from Steve Marcus's corpse she ran to the remaining truck, but was nearly bitten by zombies. Michael helped her and got bitten on the arm in the process. When the group arrived at the boat he revealed his bite to Terry, Ana, Nicole and Kenneth and shot himself in the head after he was sure that the rest is safe.
